You are here: How to work for us

At UNA-UK we seek to offer a supportive and challenging working environment with excellent opportunities for personal development. Staff can expect to be part of a small and dynamic team, with the opportunity to contribute to the future direction of the organisation.

Working at UNA-UK

We only consider applications made with a UNA-UK application form. Before starting your application we recommend you review the work we are involved in and then how to complete your application form first. Please ensure that you submit your application by the deadline as late applications will not be considered. If interview dates have been established please let us know on your application if you are able to make those dates or have other interview considerations that we need to take into account.

Due to the number of applications we receive we can only respond to applicants who have been short listed for interview. All successful applicants will be contacted within two weeks of the closing date. If an application is submitted we will only give feedback to those candidates who are interviewed.

UNA-UK is not an office of the UN and receives no funding from the UN. Please note that UNA-UK is an independent UK-based NGO. We are not involved with UN recruitment processes and cannot help you secure a job at the UN.

Please be aware than UNA-UK never asks for money in order to gain access to interviews. Any response to an advert that asks for money is a scam.

Volunteer internships

Our internship programme focuses on offering supportive volunteer positions to people who want to gain experience in the the NGO and charity sectors. All of our interns receive training, coaching and one-to-one support. We also provide additional employability support, such as advice on careers, CV reviewing, interview preparation and techniques. On successful completion of their placement, interns are welcome to cite UNA-UK as a referee.

To apply for the programme you must live within a reasonable commuting distance from our London office

We expect all our interns to: Commit to the duration of the internship; conduct themselves with respect to UNA-UK’s aims, objectives and values, and comply with our Intern Policy.

Opportunities become available every few months and are posted here. If there is nothing right now then do check again in the next few weeks.
