Generation UN: nuclear disarmament competition

UNA-UK has launched a competition for members of its Generation United Nations schools network (aimed at 14-18-year-olds) to attend the next round-table meeting of our Young Nuclear Professionals Group.

The winner will be given the opportunity to observe this meeting, at which Rt Hon Lord Browne of Ladyton, former Secretary of State for Defence, and others will discuss the topic: 'The European Contribution to Non-Proliferation and Disarmament'. The event will take place in the Palace of Westminster on Tuesday 4 December and is jointly hosted by UNA-UK and the European Leadership Network.

The winner should be prepared to meet a UNA-UK staff member at our Whitehall offices at 1800 on 4 December and must be accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian.

To enter the competition, simply send us a 200 word response to the following statement:

'In my lifetime we can reach a world without nuclear weapons'

Send your response to membership@una.org.uk by noon on Monday 19 November.

This competition is only open to GenUN members so join today if you're not already a part of this great network.
