UNA Harrogate: SDG 2/12/13 - Food Waste

We’re delighted to welcome Michelle Marks to our hotseat for our first 2020 meeting of UNA Harrogate on Monday 6 January. Michelle’s challenge lies at the intersection of SDGs 2/12/13 (food, consumption and climate action).

A third of food is wasted “between farm and fork” and this food waste is estimated to contribute between 8-10% of global greenhouse gas (CO2 equivalent) emissions. Michelle is keen to support businesses in all areas of the food industry to align their purpose and operations to the global agenda of sustainability and climate action. She will be seeking the support of our group to help her establish the best way to engage with this industry.

As always, arrive at 6pm for a 6.30pm start and an 8.30pm finish.
