UNA-UK is delighted to announce the launch of ‘After the Spring: Prospects for the Arab World in 2013’, a major publication produced in collaboration with WITAN Media.

Aimed at scholars, practitioners and interested observers, the publication explores the effects and implications of the political uprisings that have swept the Middle East and North Africa since late 2010. It features contributions by over 50 experts from within and outside the region.

Cross-disciplinary in its approach, it covers the stories of change in Bahrain, Egypt, Libya, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen, and brings together an array of expertise on conflict resolution, reconstruction, development economics and national reconciliation. The human dimension – the source of the current upheaval – gets particular attention.

Above all, this volume seeks to bring us closer to an understanding of how the changes in the region have occurred and to offer insights into what may lie ahead.

We hope that it will serve as a resource and a guide for those who wish to observe closely, or contribute positively to, what happens next.
