The conference will run from 15 - 17 November (start time of 3pm).

Sheffield International MUN Conference is returning this year for its 8th edition in November! An established society within the University of Sheffield, SheffMUN aims to simulate the dynamics of global diplomacy and problem solving in the contemporary era. This year will feature a wide and diversified range of committees, from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women). This year's common theme “A Digitised World: Contemporary Online Challenges” seeks to discuss new threats like online harassment, dark web markets, and cross border propaganda. These pressing issues vary in depth and detail across the different UN committees, with each possessing different levels of mandate and jurisdiction. Principally, SheffMUN 2019 aims to provide a forum on how we can adapt to this technological change.

Delegate applications are open at www.sheffmun.co.uk!
