The UCLU Model United Nations Society will be running the fourth UCLMUN conference which is held at the historical campus in central London on 24th to 26th January. UCL has a proud and established tradition of being a university that promotes rigorous intellectual debate while embracing cultural diversity. A wide range of notable alumni including Alexander Graham Bell, Mahatma Gandhi, Walter Bagehot and the members of Coldplay attests to this long tradition. It is in this spirit that we host the UCLMUN conference, in the hope that like-minded delegates from all walks of life and all corners of the world will seize the opportunity to engage in open discussions about contemporary issues, while getting to learn more about each other as individuals and as representatives of their various cultural, racial and religious groups.

In our conferences we try to be creative and offer a different experience to other offerings on the circuit. In previous years we adopted a geographical focus with UCLMUN III concentrating on issues affecting Latin America, a region that we felt had generally received little attention on the MUN circuit. Our conference is well-known for its socials with previous years hosting evenings at Brazilian barbecue restaurants and at a variety of London's famous clubs and bars. UCLMUN is ideal for beginners and intermediates with its welcoming approach, but advanced members will still find a challenge as the level of debate is high.

Delegate and chairing applications open around September/October with the forms being available on our website.
