You are here: UNA Harrogate: CLIMATE FORUM (WEBINAR): How to leverage climate mitigation through “fund multipliers”
6 March 2020 2:00pm - 3:00pm
We are excited to have Steve Anderson, PhD, MBA in our “hotseat” for Climate Forum on 6 March 2020 at 1400 (UK time). As well as being a professional leadership coach and facilitator, Steve is passionate about climate mitigation and the preservation of biodiversity. He has already raised significant funds for protection and restoration of mangroves and rainforests. Thus far his efforts, and those of his partners at The Nature Conservancy and Conservation International, have helped protect millions of acres in the Mayan rainforest and the mangrove forests of Ecuador. He has been particularly successful in leveraging available funds for this work such as the UN Green Climate fund and foundation gifts. In simple terms he is able to take donations from organisations and individuals seeking to offset their climate impact and multiply the remedial effect of their contributions – a big win-win!
If, like many others around the world, you are keen to create a world fit for future generations, there will be opportunity to join us online for this free action-focused one-hour webinar, on 6 March between 1400h and 1500h BST. To join the forum as a participant, simply follow this link to register a place:
Do hurry as places are limited in order to ensure high quality conversation. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
The aim of Climate Forum in general is to help one of the attendees (in the "hotseat") to gain clarity on an action they wish to take to mitigate climate change. If you have such a challenge, message Clive Wilson on Linked In for more information.
Climate Forum is facilitated by Clive Wilson, author of "Designing the Purposeful World – the Sustainable Development Goals as a blueprint for humanity" and "Designing the Purposeful Organization – how to inspire business performance beyond boundaries".
Clive will ask the person in the hot-seat to briefly describe their challenge and then invite the other attendees to offer in their single most powerful question or comment. This is a technique Clive has used for over ten years and proves to be an effective way to inspire action from people who are keen to make a difference. After the commitment to action, the learning of all attendees will be shared.
