In September 2015, world leaders met at the United Nations in New York to formally adopt seventeen new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which have now become known as the 'Global Goals'.  The goals present the most profound vision for humanity ever, covering topics ranging from the eradication of poverty, feeding the world, providing innovation for energy and infrastructure and even world peace.  And the target date is 2030 meaning that we could see the world most of us have dreamt of becoming a reality (hopefully) in our lifetimes.  The goals also provide significant inspiration and opportunity for the business community which we will explore in this workshop.

This one-hour workshop will be facilitated by Clive Wilson, Chair of UNA Harrogate and an advocate for the Global Goals.  He has been hosting a Facebook Page on the goals at: https://www.facebook.com/SDG2030/ which you are invited to explore, like and share to spread the word.  Clive is also a Fellow of CIPD, a national tutor on Progressive Strategies for Talent Management and the author of 'Designing the Purposeful Organization – how to inspire business performance beyond boundaries' (Kogan Page 2015).  His passion that links the two sides of his work is to 'Design a Purposeful World' and he believes the Global Goals provide the answer.
