UNA Canterbury welcomes everyone to join in commemorating the United Nations' 70th Anniversary with our 34th annual UN Service. While retaining our basic theme, we are expanding and changing the format to reflect our concern with the current refugee situation in Europe. The UNHCR reports there are more refugees than at any time since the Second World War. Does the mean that the UN Security Council is not properly and consistently fulfilling its prime responsibility for maintaining peace and human security?
