We are excited to announce that the University of Manchester Model UN Society will be hosting its inaugural Model UN General Assembly Conference on Saturday 30th November.

The conference will take the form of a one-day simulation of the UN General Assembly. The theme for the conference is International Peace and Security, and the topic will be Strengthening the Strategic Framework for UN Peace-building in Conflict-ridden and Post-conflict Zones.

The conference will run from 8:30am to 6pm, and the social will begin at 7pm at the Students' Union bar until late. The conference fee is only £10, including lunch, refreshments and discounted prices at the social. The ManMUN one-day conference offers a cost effective way to experience a real conference with great debate at the heart of the UK's largest university.

The conference is open to all university students and registrations are open on an individual basis. However, we would encourage delegations to apply, and we will ensure that all members in the delegation will be given a space in order for the delegation to attend together. (For delegations larger than 10, please let us know so we can accommodate you the best we can). There are only 100 delegate spaces available and applications will close on November 21st, so we encourage all to apply soon!
