Tyna Vayalilkollattu, President

I'm 25 and have recently completed my international law degree from Kingston University.  I became involved with Kingston University's UNA branch as a member in my first year.  I was elected publicity officer in my second year and this past year was elected president of the society. I am now delighted to have been elected President of UNA Youth.

Having spoken with many UNA Youth members, I am inspired to hear of their dedication and passion for UN-related issues and for bringing international campaigns and awareness to their universities and schools around the UK. I am really excited about the year ahead and look forward to:

1. Developing inter-branch communication;
2. Establishing new branches and increasing our membership;
3. Using social media to keep connected;
4. Organising workshops and events to develop members' skills;
5. Building a national MUN team.

We look forward to making these goals tangible in the coming year. Most importantly, we hope to work with you to make your ideas for the UNA Youth network a reality.

Cristina Pecheanu, Vice President

My name is Cristina Pecheanu and I am the new Vice President of the UNA Youth Council. My involvement with UNA Youth began two years ago at the Aberdeen branch where I served as founder and President of the Model UN group before moving on to become the President of UNYSA Aberdeen.

As Vice President of the Youth Council, the improvement of the national-local nexus, resulting in better coordination and collaboration, is one of my principal goals. I plan to build upon my experience at the local level and to work closely with my fellow Council members in order to advance the aims of UNA-UK and to make UNA Youth more centralised, more efficient and more popular.

Misha Franklin, Secretary

Hi, I'm Misha, the new UNA Youth secretary. I've been involved in my local branch at Durham University for the last two years, and have worked with two executive committees to help the society grow.

I'm going to be focusing on careers and partnerships over the coming year, and will hopefully also help UNA Youth to grow.

Get in touch if there's anything I can do to help you and/or your branch.
