About us!

UNYSA is the youth wing of UNA-UK, the UK's leading source of independent analysis on the United Nations and a growing people's movement for a strong, credible and effective UN.

  • We are young people (school, college and university students in the UK) who are passionate about the work and ideals of the UN
  • Our activities focus on building understanding of and support for the UN and its work to promote international peace and security, development and human rights for all
  • We have 40 branches across the UK that regularly run their own events and campaigns

The activities of UNYSA-UK are overseen by the Youth Council, which is elected at UNYSA's annual conference.

The Youth Council exsists to support, develop and coordinate the activities of braches and to provide a link between individual UNYSA members.

It also runs national campaigns and events which individuals and branches can get involved with.

  • lobbying the government on key international concerns
  • educating young people about UN ideals and issues

If you're interested in founding a youth branch we have a practical guide for how to set a up a UNYSA branch, how to get new members, how to deal with the media, how to organise events, etc.
