10 November - Careers event in London

On 10 November, our careers event gave UNA Youth members the chance to hear from leading experts in the UN, NGO and recruitment sectors, get ‘insider’ tips and insights, and ask them questions on how to land their dream job.

26 July - UNA Youth delivers statement to high-level UN meeting in New York

UNA-UK’s youth delegation arrived at the United Nations in New York on 25 July, to participate in a two-day meeting focusing on the theme of “Youth: Dialogue and Mutual Understanding”.  Launched by the General Assembly, the high-level meeting was devoted to tackling the challenges facing the world's youth and exploring their potential to bring about change in their societies and in the world at large.

UNA-UK’s delegation included Mitali Nikore, a member of the 2010/11 UNA Youth Council, who delivered UNA Youth's statement identifying youth unemployment as the key challenge.

The two-day meeting was among events to mark the International Year of Youth, which comes to a close on International Youth Day on 12 August.

Do you want to be on the Youth Council?

The Youth Council is currently looking to co-opt a Model UN Liaison Officer and two Communications Liaison Officers. If you are interested in applying for one of these positions, please download and complete the relevant application form below. Instructions on how to apply for the positions are included within the application forms.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 20 July.
