Climate Change: Preparing for the New Security Environment
The RUSI climate change and security conference will provide a forum to discuss the current state of research on the linkages between climate change and security, with a special focus on responses and solutions for planners and policymakers.

Action for UN Renewal – 'Who rules the world? Global challenges and the role of the UN in peacekeeping, human rights and international law'
UNA-UK’s Chair Lord Hannay of Chiswick will deliver the annual Erskine Childers Lecture hosted by Action for UN Renewal. The speech will take place at 7pm at Friends House, 173 Euston Road, London. UNA Putney and Roehampton

On Tuesday,16 September, at 8 pm Putney & Roehampton UNA will hold a public meeting in the Lancaster Hall, St Mary's Parish Church, Putney High Street, SW15, to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. There will be short talks by Rev Giles Fraser, Vicar of Putney, Vijay Mehta, Chairman of Action for UN Renewal, and Neville Grant, Chairman of London & South East Region UNA, followed by a question and answer session. Paths to peace: Proposals to resolve the Israeli-Plestinian conflict
Dan Gillerman, Israeli Ambassador to the UN 2003-2008, joins a distinguished panel of speakers, including Sir Malcolm Rifkind MP (Former Secretary of State for Defence and former Foreign Secretary), Efraim Halevy (Former Director of Mossad and the Israeli National Security Council), Dan Gillerman (Israel's Permanent Representative to the United Nations 2003-2008), Dr Hanan Ashrawi ( Palestinian Legislative Council Member, Palestinian Territories) and others.

This debate will take place at Central Hall Westminster, Storey's Gate, London SW1H.
